Set Up Yelp! Profile
- Claim an existing listing, or create a new one if it does not exist
- Email the client and ask them to respond to any negative reviews
- Is the address formatted exactly as the Google Places address?
- Add hours of operation
- Write strong benefit driven copy about their specialty
- Add the year the business was started, with a short history
- Add bio of the client (copied from LinkedIn?) with a portrait
- If individual is part of a brokerage or team - did we put their it after their name (i.e. Bob Smith - Keller Williams Realty Austin)
- Choose the primary category
- Add all areas / cities the client serves
- Include preferred providers under "Business Recommendations"
- Add at least 5 photos of the client, video screenshots, office pictures, team photos, client photos with description and link to website to learn more
- Put Yelp! badge or link on the client's website?
- Email review request email to client to approve to send.
- Send review request email to the database
- Send client satisfaction survey template to be send to every client they serve just before the end of a sale
- Send client referral card template to print off to encourage asking for referrals
Set Up Google Places
- Claim an existing business (Search Google Maps)
- Request admin right, work with client to verify
- Remove any duplicate listings if any
- Make sure the Google Places listing is verified
- Add business name, address, full contact info, categories, hours, and an introduction with strong "About Me" content.
- Make sure the address is PERFECT - this is how the address must exactly be used on all other sites.
- Add at least 5 photos to the page
- Google+ Local page - add profile picture and cover artwork
- Upload the Why Hire Me video directly to the Google+ local page
- Ask the client to respond to any negative reviews if needed.
- Search for the client's business on Google, does it show up on the right side? Send that exact link to the client so they see the search results.
- Send the client a link to where their pin is on Google Maps - ask them to make sure it's place perfectly so GPS takes people to them
- Delete Edit
- Once Facebook, Yelp! and Google Places are updated, send client their score from https://moz.com/local and say we recommend they spend the $49 a year to syndicate their listings everywhere.
