How to Export The Email Addresses of Your Facebook Friends and Linked-In Connections

“I don’t have anyone in my database, and if I did, I don’t have their emails!”

That’s the most common objection I hear to getting started on the Vyral Marketing program, or any database marketing program for that matter.

Luckily, if you have friends on Facebook or you’re connected to other professionals on Linked-In, you can export all their email addresses in a few minutes giving you a foundation of contacts to start re-connecting with and inviting them to receive your email marketing.

Here’s how to export all your Linked-In connection’s emails:

Here’s how to export all your Facebook friend’s emails:

You can’t export all your friends’ data directly from Facebook because that’s how Mr. Zuckerberg makes all his money.

There’s a workaround (yay!) available by importing your contacts from Facebook into your free Yahoo! Mail account.

You won’t, however, be able to export those contacts from Yahoo! because Yahoo! caught onto this work-around and put a nasty “Facebook” tag on all your imports from Facebook so they won’t show up in the CSV file when you export.

So here’s how to get around that:

1. Sign up for a free Yahoo! mail account.
2. Import all your Facebook contacts by connecting your Facebook to Yahoo! Mail.
3. Select all your contacts.
4. Select print and run a basic view of all your contacts.
5. Copy everything on the print sheet (Press Ctrl+A to select all) and paste into Excel. (but do not actually print – you just want to copy and past the data) *Note make sure to do this in Firefox for the copy and paste to work.

Now you have a list of names and emails all in 1 column in Excel.

You can go through and manually put the information in the correct fields (create a first name, last name, and email fields), but for most of you, you can simply upload the un-edited list to your email marketing program and the program will only accept the valid emails with an “@” in the cell and skip everything else. 2. Get the databases of your clients and ask your clients to email a recommendation to everyone they know about you.

3. Upload your client’s database to Facebook as a custom audience and run ads to your client’s friends saying “Why Your Friend Hired Me” with your client’s picture in the ad.

4. Ask everyone who works for you to email their entire database on why they love working for you allowing you to recruit new talent to your team from the databases of your employees

5. Get all the emails from your strategic partners and add them to your database.
