General Answers

1. What do you do? (back to top)

We help independent professionals, small business owners, salespeople and entrepreneurs market their expertise with web video to help them stay in touch with the people they know to increase referrals and repeat sales – and in some cases – lead conversion. We interview you live on a HD webcam once a month to create 2 educational videos, and then we do all the editing, optimization, and promotion of the videos to your customer and prospect database for you so you build trust, authority, and top of mind awareness.

2. How much time does it take? (back to top)

It takes 30 minutes a month to complete a live webcam interview with your Success Coach to record your 2 videos and you’re done. We do the rest of the work – professional video editing, search optimization, and email/social media promotion to your customer and prospect database.

3. Can I see examples of your work? (back to top)

Yes. You can see examples of all the video blogs we’ve built clients on our website under “Examples” along with the most recent emails and topics we’ve sent for our clients on the “Topics” tab on our website. This is a great way to get ideas for your videos.

4. Is Vyral Marketing exclusive to my market? (back to top)

No. We help you publish your educational videos to people in your database who have an existing relationship with you. If you’re one of our first clients in your marketplace to publish videos you may enjoy better search engine results. We’ll customize the look and feel everything you publish so it’s entirely personalized to you.

5. Do you do “inbound marketing?” (back to top)

No. Inbound marketing is a marketing term for publishing regular educational content about 2-3 times a week for the sole purpose of getting found online by prospects. While you will enjoy a search engine benefit with Vyral Marketing, we focus on publishing content to your existing customer database of people who know, like, and trust you for increased referrals and repeat business first. If you wish to publish additional videos to increase your chances of getting found online, we’ll help you produce and edit an unlimited amount of videos to be posted to your blog and social accounts for search optimization, however we limit promotion to your database via email to twice a month.

6. What if my industry is regulated? (back to top)

We’ll need approval from your compliance officer and assurance they are happy to review your videos and emails before they go out.

7. Will you implement my new CRM? (back to top)

No. It’s a very complicated and sophisticated process to set up any marketing automation program or CRM system to manage your leads and contacts. We recommend you hire a qualified professional to help you customize the software to your business. On the Vyral Marketing program you’ll export all the emails from all your various systems and databases once a month, which are then merged and de-duplicated so they may receive your 2 educational Q&A videos a month by email and social media, which we send and update for you.

8. What are extra strategies? (back to top)

We’ll help you implement 1 extra marketing strategy a month at no extra charge as long as you’re following the foundational Vyral Marketing System of publishing 2 educational Q&A videos a month to your customer and prospect database. Extra strategies include – but are not limited to - pre-appointment videos, post-appointment videos, prospect follow up campaigns, team videos, product videos, recruiting videos, etc. Ask your Vyral Marketing Success Coach for extra strategies we’re implementing now for clients to accelerate your results.

Pricing and ROI

1. What’s the pricing? (back to top)

Vyral Marketing is $1995 upfront for a 30-day custom build process to establish your professional online presence. Afterward, it’s $6,600 annually paid $550 a month. You can pre-pay the year upfront and receive an extra month of service free upon request. We will also finance the build fee if necessary on a case-by-case basis.

2. Can I afford Vyral Marketing? (back to top)

We recommend all clients have at least 2 months of operational expenses saved as “core capital” before investing any more on additional expenses. Total marketing or lead-generation expenses should not exceed 10-15% of your total sales, determined by a moving average of your sales over the past 3 months, as a general guide for service professionals. Check with your CPA if Vyral Marketing makes financial sense for you.

3. How can I reduce the cost? (back to top)

Invite your vendors and partners to participle in your videos – anyone who benefits by getting exposure to your audience. We’ll include special sections on your video blog to feature their business along with any videos they submit. We’ll also include your partner’s videos in your emails and social media promotions to your database. Ask your vendors to cover part of your fee for the privilege of your endorsement and access to your audience. Check with your attorney for compliance or disclosure requirements in your industry.

4. What results can I expect? (back to top)

In most business to consumer professional services, you can expect 10% of your “met” database (the people you’ve actually met) – or your current and past customers - to give you 1 sale a year either by referral or a repeat sale. If your “met” or customer database has 500 people in it, you can expect 50 sales. Talk to us about the results you can expect in your industry and profession based on your database size, average sales price, and transaction frequency.

5. How do you track ROI? (back to top)

Each month on your Success Call we’ll note how many sales you made last month and how many of those sales were generated by referral or a repeat customer. Then, we’ll call up to 4 of your customers who came from your database on a recorded phone line to ask them if your Vyral Marketing influenced their decision to do business from you. This is how you know with 100% certainty if your Vyral Marketing makes a difference in your business. ROI is meticulously tracked.

6. What ROI should I expect? (back to top)

Your marketing should return 10x your investment so you enjoy a profit after your investment. You’ll invest $6,600 a year on our program, and in return, we expect you generate at least $66,000 in directly attributed to Vyral Marketing sales over a year. If your ROI is less than that, we suggest you stop Vyral Marketing and allocate your funds to more profitable promotions to earn a higher return on investment. We only enroll clients when their average sale, and the frequency of it, is large enough to reasonably earn this 10x financial return over a year. ROI is meticulously tracked.

7. How fast will I see results? (back to top)

You may see results quickly from your first email or immediately from your search engine optimization – many clients do. However, it may also take several months to see results based on your market and message. To increase your probability of faster financial results, follow the Vyral Marketing System of adding at least 3 people a day to your database, making 2 videos a month that people want, and calling the people who watch your videos to proactively look for business.

8. Can I talk to your clients about ROI? (back to top)

Yes. All our current clients are listed on our website with links to their live video blogs where you’ll find their direct contact information. Contact us and we’ll introduce you to clients in your industry who share your current situation and business model so you can contact them directly to candidly investigate how they get results. Ask each client what their ROI to date is - we're tracking it.

9. Why would someone fail? (back to top)

Lack of communication. We can’t help if you're rescheduling calls to record videos, we don’t receive new people for your database, or you’re not calling the people who have expressed interest in your services. If it takes longer than 2 days to get back to our email, or return a phone call, with important information we need such as approving an email to be sent, we cannot get you results and you’ll be unhappy. Make sure to speak with your Vyral Marketing Success Coach once a month for at least 30 minutes and respond to all our communication within 48 hours for your best results. Other factors include your communication skill on video, the strength of your database, and current demand of the market you serve.

10. Is there a limit to emails I can send?

No. We cover up to 20,000 email credits a month included in your fee. For any additional emails you wish to include to send, you'll pay $3.62 per 1000 emails which is our deeply discounted "at-cost" rate with our email service provider. Additional email fees will be charged to your account the following month. Unused email credits to not carry forward to future months.

Call us at 1-800-323-9974 or pay the one time build fee online today. We’ll contact you within 1 business day to complete the agreement and schedule your Jump Start call to get started.

2. Is there a long term contract? (back to top)

Yes. You’ll commit to The Vyral Marketing Program for 1 year upon completion of your 30-day custom build process. Working a database of people for referrals and repeat sales takes time to build the authority, trust, and business relationship for results. We ask you commit to the long-term process for a year, conservatively speaking, so you have the highest probability to see great results.

3. Can I cancel if I’m not happy? (back to top)

Yes. You may cancel anytime and ask for a refund if we’re doing anything less than outstanding work for you. We ask you provide us a specific list of problems so we can check our work and make improvements if unsatisfactory work is the reason for your cancellation. Otherwise, we ask you honor the 1-year minimum commitment to the program if we’re doing great work.

4. What happens if I cancel? (back to top)

After the completion of your agreement and upon your cancellation, we’ll provide you with all the log-in information for your various accounts so you can perform the Vyral Marketing System on your own, or hire freelancers or another firm to do it for you.

5. Do I own the content? (back to top)

Yes. You own the rights to all your content (website, domain, videos, custom articles).

Success Coaching

1. Who will I work with at Vyral Marketing? (back to top)

You will work with a dedicated Vyral Marketing Success Coach. Upon your enrollment, you’ll have a short Jump Start phone call with our COO so you’re assigned a coach who knows your business and matches your personality so you’re comfortable. Your Vyral Marketing Success Coach is your point of contact for everything at Vyral Marketing.

2. What is covered on my monthly Success Call? (back to top)

Your Success Coach will cover the following each month on your Success Call:

We will ask for your feedback on your writing, video editing, and reviews
We will coach you live to record 2 educational Q&A videos via a webcam
We will make sure you’ve sent in your latest email database(s) to us

3. How much communication will I receive? (back to top)

You will speak with your Vyral Marketing Success Coach once a month during a scheduled 30 minute phone call. You’ll also receive an update by phone or email at least once a week about the progress of your marketing for that month. You can reach your Success Coach anytime by phone or email.

4. What if I dislike my Success Coach? (back to top)

All of our great Success Coaches coach you specifically and only on the Vyral Marketing System to ensure your success. If in fact you do not “mesh” with your coach for any reason (i.e. personality, coaching style, etc), call us and we’ll switch you with someone who’s a fit.

30 Day Build Process

1. Do I get a new video blog? (back to top)

Yes. We build you a custom video blog (it's a website as well). You can get a custom domain name, purchased and owned by you, upon request. See examples under the ‘Examples’ tab on our website.

2. Can my blog replace my website? (back to top)

Yes. We recommend you keep your website until your blog is launched and you receive positive feedback from customers on which site is more useful. We can transfer the domain name from your current website to your new video blog upon request.

3. What do I get for the build fee? (back to top)

We build you a custom video blog complete with an animation package for your videos and online branding for your emails, as well as setup all your social media accounts properly. We also update and link to your blog your most important online review sites, which we’ll also setup and optimize. Additionally, we’ll help you export the emails from all your various accounts, perform keyword research for optimal SEO, and get your first videos and testimonials recorded and posted to your new video blog. Your first video will be sent to your entire customer and prospect email database within 30 days of sign up.

4. How long does it take to launch? (back to top)

It’s a 30-day custom build process once you sign up before your first video goes to your database. You’ll have a weekly call with your Vyral Marketing Success Coach during your build process, followed by a monthly scheduled phone call after your first video launch to your customer database.

Building Your List

1. Is my email database big enough? (back to top)

You are better off with a database of 100 people who buy everything you sell than a list of 1,000 cold "leads" not interested in speaking with you. The size of your database is not a measure of success – it’s the relationship you have with the people in your list that counts. 10% of the people you’ve met, in most professional services, will give you 1 sale a year either by repeat or referral if you communicate with them all the time. With 100 people, that’s 10 sales. With 1,000 people, that’s 100 sales.

2. What if I don’t have emails? (back to top)

We’ll start by exporting all the emails from the people you're friends with on Facebook, along with the emails of your connections on LinkedIn. For 95% of our clients that yields a few hundred emails to start working and educating for referrals, plus any emails exported from your various contact or email marketing systems. If you don’t have any emails, you’ll start the Vyral Marketing Program by adding 3 people a day to your database by calling referral partners and prospects asking if you can stay in touch, then asking for their email address.

3. What if I don’t have any prospects? (back to top)

We recommend you start by working the people you know using The Vyral Marketing System for referrals and then purchase or compile a list of people who are the most likely to buy what you sell. Call the cold prospects to introduce yourself and ask permission if you can send them your videos to start the business relationship so you build trust and authority before asking for an appointment or a sale.

4. What if I don’t have phone numbers? (back to top)

We’ll recommend third parties whom you can upload your customer database and they will append phone numbers. You can also hire overseas virtual assistants directly who specialize in manual list building over the interest for missing contact information, such as phone numbers. (Typically $3-5 USD an hour). Accuracy and match rates vary from provider to provider.

5. Is my database confidential? (back to top)

Yes. You approve everything before anything is emailed to your database. We will never market, sell, rent or do anything with your list without your permission – ever. A signed confidentiality agreement is available upon request.

6. How do I send new emails to you? (back to top)

Simply add emails to your existing contact management system or spreadsheet as you do now. Once a month you, or your assistant who we’ll train, will re-export or send your various database(s) to us (we’ll remind you on your monthly Success Call) to be appended to the latest list we have. We will automatically de-duplicate and append any missing fields with your updated information.

7. Can I keep separate or segmented lists? (back to top)

Yes. We recommend you segment your database by suspects, prospects, customers, past customers, referral partners, employees, and vendors. Simply submit each separate list to us and we’ll segment them in the email system for you. We also recommend you have a “Person Type” column in your master database spreadsheet with these segments so you know who your contact is when you receive your email open and click reports.

8. What’s the script to get an email address? (back to top)

When you meet someone, end your conversation with “I publish videos twice a month that answer questions commonly asked from my customers – I'd like you to receive them. What’s your best email address?”

9. How many email address should I add? (back to top)

A professional full time salesperson will talk to at least 30 people a day to find someone who wants to buy what you’re selling, of which, about 1/3 of those people will typically give you their email address to stay in touch to receive educational updates. If you’re not a full time salesperson, we ask you add 3 quality emails a day by asking if you can stay in touch with the people you talk to. 3 emails a day is 15 emails a week Monday – Friday, 60 emails a month, or 720 emails a year which is the database growth we expect to see, at a minimum, for all Vyral Marketing clients.

Creating Videos

1. What do I say in my videos? (back to top)

You’ll answer questions from your customers. A typical video starts: “Hi, this is (your name) your local (industry) professional. Today I want to answer a question from a customer I received. They asked (question here). But before I do you can contact me on my website if you have any questions for a free consultation. So here’s the answer I think you’ll find valuable…..” Your Success Coach will help you write talking points for your videos so you know what to say, and provide you with examples and topics working for other clients in your industry right now on your monthly Success Call so it’s easy for you to come up with great topics. The #1 benefit of working with your Success Coach is knowing what to say in your videos with their guidance based on what's working for our other clients.

2. How long is a video? (back to top)

The perfect web video is 2-3 minutes in length. Keep it short.

3. Is everything I get 100% custom? (back to top)

Yes. All your articles, social updates, and emails are written 100% custom by a professional ghostwriter in our office. Your content will never be the same as someone else, unless you choose a pre-written topic or article. You own all your custom content.

4. How many videos do I get? (back to top)

You get unlimited video editing. We’ll professionally edit product videos, testimonials, biography, or other videos for your blog. However, we’ll only send 2 emails a month to your database with a complimentary custom article, email, and social update. Writing is a hard cost, however, we can do an unlimited amount of video editing for you.

5. What video camera will I need? (back to top)

We recommend a HD webcam, as it’s most convenient and practical to record your videos at your desk. Expensive video cameras are not needed (and the commercial-like production will hurt you). If you wish to shoot on-location, your smartphone along with an inexpensive lavaliere microphone is all you need. We will provide you with all all the video equipment you need complimentary when you start Vyral Marketing.

6. What’s the turnaround on a video? (back to top)

We recommend you set one monthly appointment with your Success Coach to shoot 2 videos at one time so you’re always one step ahead. Otherwise, it’s a very-strict 7 business day turn around to ensure proper editing, optimization, writing, and proofreading to prevent mistakes.

7. Can I include my team in my videos? (back to top)

Yes. Interview your team in your videos to include your best people in your marketing and add value to their relationship with you.

8. Can I include vendors in my videos? (back to top)

Yes. Interview them so they are included in your videos, in your emails, and ask they pay part of your Vyral Marketing fee in exchange for exposure to your audience.

9. What if I dislike my appearance on video? (back to top)

We promote 2 educational messages to your database a month, not necessarily video. We can also interview you on the phone and send an audio podcast to your database, or you can speak with a writer in our office to help you write an excellent article if you’re uncomfortable on video.

10. What if I dislike my ghostwriting? (back to top)

At the beginning of every call with your Vyral Marketing Success Coach you’ll review the writing from your previous launch. Tell us what language resonates best with your customers and we’ll make notes to ensure we communicate your preferred way going forward. Remember, your writing is only as specific as your videos, as we write to capture your voice in the first-person by intelligently summarizing what you’re communicating in your videos.

11. What if I dislike my video editing? (back to top)

We use professional video editing software for your videos, the same that is used by professional movie studios. Send us examples of editing you love, and we’ll mimic it as long as it does not contain custom animation. There are also stock video services we subscribe and you’re welcome to pick your lower-thirds, background music, subtitles, and effects that fit your brand and resonate with your customer. We’ll give you the log in and send us what you like so you get exactly what you want.

Promoting Videos

1. Are 2 videos a month too many? (back to top)

No. Studies prove you’ll need to stay in touch with your database much more often than you think – upwards of 33 times a year – to yield a measurable increase in referrals and repeat sales. You must be confident your content is useful and valuable. For most clients 2 videos a month is the point of diminishing returns via email where you achieve the balance of effective communication and not enough communication.

2. What about spam complaints? (back to top)

We professionally manage all your unsubscribes (we can send you a list of bounces or unsubscribes upon request) and comply to the CAN SPAM law by making it very easy for those not interested in your communication to quickly opt-out from any further email.

3. What social media are updated? (back to top)

We put your videos on your Facebook business page, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, blog, RSS, and iTunes (as your own personal podcast) – in addition to an email broadcast every two weeks. We also set all these social media sites up for you if you do not have them professionally established already.

4. Will you put the videos on my website? (back to top)

No. We put your video on your custom video blog (which is also a website) we build for you. The Official Vyral Marketing Video Blog is the only website platform we support, however we will send you the YouTube code or the raw file so you can post your video on your website if you like. We can also syndicate your videos to your current website automatically with an embedded YouTube playlist. Your video blog will link to your website and your website will link to your video blog. This helps with backlinks for search optimization.

5. Will you send emails through my system? (back to top)

No, but we can make exceptions. There are many email automation marketing systems available, however we cannot control the deliverability rates and issues with the software. We'll guide you to export all your various email databases once a month, which are imported and de-duplicated into ours we have securely for you, and send your emails through our proven servers so you get consistent and predictable results. Exceptions to this are made on a case-by-case basis.

6. When will my videos go to my database? (back to top)

We like to send your videos to your customer database on the 1st and 15th of the month, or the nearest business day. Updates to your social media happen within 24 hours of your email launch. You’ll receive your open and click report (the people who open and watch the videos in your email) within 3 business days of an email broadcast.

7. How many emails can I send? (back to top)

We pay for the cost of your email credits. However, you are limited to 20,000 emails a month, which it is very rare to send that many or more after any initial bounces and unsubscribes from sending your first email are removed. If you have a larger list, you’ll pay for the credits at our super-discounted at-cost rates we negotiate for our customers.

8. Can you add video to my existing campaigns? (back to top)

Yes. Once you master the foundational 2 videos a month to your customer and prospect database, we’ll help you add video to any prospect conversion or customer nurture sequences / marketing campaigns you have in place at no extra charge. We will also help you complete video drip campaigns for your various lead sources at no extra charge. Ask your Vyral Marketing Success Coach about our extra strategies.

Making Phone Calls

1. How fast will I know who watched my videos? (back to top)

We’ll email you a list of the people who opened your email and clicked through to watch your video within 3 days after each email broadcast. Please include names, person type, and phone number when you submit your list to us so you, or a prospecting assistant, can quickly reference the information necessary to make these very important follow up phone calls. We will help you export emails from all your databases during your 30 day custom build process.

2. Will you train my tele-prospector? (back to top)

To an extent. We will provide you with the names of those who click to watch your videos in your emails and we ask you follow up with them with a phone call to ask for referrals or repeat business, since these are the people who are most engaged with you. In some cases you may not have time to make the calls yourself, so if you hire someone to make these calls for you, we’ll train them on a script to use that’s worked well for our clients. 3. What’s the script for a video click? (back to top)

Yes. ROI is meticulously tracked. The only way we’ll know the primary motivator of first customer contact is asking your customer what influenced their decision to reach out to you in the first place (your lead source). This way we can track Vyral Marketing Return on Investment. Additionally, we’ll interview your customer about their results on a recorded phone line, post the edited MP3 to your website with your approval, and summarize their success story which is then emailed to your customer with a request for them to post it – with appropriate edits - on your most important review sites to increase your online reviews so you get more “I want to hire you” calls.

2. How many testimonials do I get? (back to top)

We will gather up to 4 customer testimonials on a recorded phone line a month. However, that is assuming all our clients send in customers for us to call. We recommend you send in as many customers as possible to call, and if another client did not send names in, we’ll call more of yours.

3. Why are testimonial interviews strictly scripted? (back to top)

We will call up to 4 of your customers a month with very strict Q&A scripts to get feedback and a success story about your services.
