How Vyral Client Blake Sloan Generated 200 Leads With 1 Direct Offer Email

Vyral Client and Myrtle Beach real estate agent Blake Sloan had tried email marketing before but had limited success. He got spam reports and lost contacts, making him hesitant to send emails to keep in touch with past and potential clients. By sending out two educational videos a week, he explains how he's seen past contacts resubscribe and a substantial increase in leads.

Frank: So you're happy with Vyral Marketing?
 

Blake: It's been good so far. We haven't closed any deals yet, but we have a significant amount in the pipeline.
 

Frank: Why did you hire us in the first place?
 

Blake: The blogs look really good. I didn't have the time to build it myself, to have somebody keep me accountable every two weeks. My biggest frustration beforehand was using Mailchimp and certain other services that would generate spam complaints. I would have to worry about trying to re-opt everyone back in. Since we went with you guys we've been able to send continuously, and haven't gotten any complaints - that was a huge thing. 

Frank: We sent out some emails that received a pretty good response, can you tell me more about that?
 

Blake: I can't get reporting by exact lead source, but so far this month we have 242 seller home value leads - full leads, not partial. Over 200 of those are from the "What's Your Home Worth" email that you wrote and we sent to the list. It was over 200 people within a matter of days. On top of that we had about 170 partial leads as well.

Frank: What do you like most about working with us?

Blake: Everyone I work with is sharp, disciplined, persistent. Always asking for areas of improvement has been helpful. Always wanting feedback from me has been nice as well.

Frank: What are some of the topics you've been sending out in your videos that you've found get better responses than others?

Blake: People tend to like the home value update, what's going on in the market, what the numbers are like. Those are the videos we've seen get the most views. They have the most value because people kind of look forward to them. We really wanted to focus on that too, we wanted to build that rapport with our list once we start sending it. We had a huge response from people - I think we had 4-5 thousand people click, or take further action.


Frank: That's great because, while the video is an excuse to send them information, the goal is to get them to click the call-to-action links - which are in the emails as well as the blog.

Blake: One thing that's kind of cool is that more people click the links under the video than anything else. That's something I never would have thought. Many people click the call-to-action links before watching the video.
 

Frank: So how much time would you say doing all of this with us, getting results, is taking you?

Blake: Probably about 30 minutes every other week. I'm pretty analytical so I like to get feedback, suggest changes, go back and forth with Allison to see what her opinion is on what I want to do, in order to optimize what we're doing. That's just because I choose to - I could easily just shoot a quick video, and be done in 15 minutes or shoot both at one time. But I like to be prepared, have good information, so I can get some feedback from Allison.

Frank: If someone was on the fence about hiring Vyral Marketing, what would you tell them? What do they need to know?
 

Blake: I've been blown away by how much it worked and how powerful it is so far. The biggest thing is having people like you who know so much about email marketing and making sure our emails get delivered and that we're able to keep the accounts of the people we are sending to. I was always terrified sending emails before working with you guys - we probably lost 15,000 people from our list who are now resubscribing since we started working with you.
