How Vyral Client Chris Myers Receives Direct Responses and Testimonials to Generate Leads

Vyral Client Chris Myers
"Every time one of our videos goes out, we see an influx of activity on our website. We see our BoomTown site get a lot of direct registrations and our home valuation site also gets more hits. I even start to get texts, phone calls, and emails. Vyral definitely helps me stay in touch with the people I need to be reaching out to more diligently. I could never do it on my own!" --Vyral Client Chris Myers

Vyral client and Orlando real estate agent, Chris Myers, wasn't doing anything to touch his database before hiring Vyral Marketing. He knew he had to reach out to them if he wanted to generate more business, but was unsure how to go about it. Chris also knew he had to gather testimonials to help get more listings from online home search sites. Since hiring Vyral, Chris' online presence has grown exponentially - every time an email goes out he gets direct responses from his database. Thanks to Vyral, he now touches his database regularly and has accumulated testimonials to help generate online leads.

Frank: What results are you seeing with Vyral Marketing?

Chris: Every time one of our videos goes out, we see an influx of activity on our website. On the buyer side, we're seeing our Boomtown site we get a lot of direct registrations. On the listing side, our home valuation site also gets more hits. We see a lot of activity as soon as the video is sent. I even start to get texts, phone calls, and emails. It definitely helps me to stay in touch with the people I need to be reaching out to more diligently.

One of the quarterly emails you wrote for us blew me out of the water - the response was huge. The message was designed to entice people to get a home valuation since the market had recently improved so dramatically. We received nearly 180 registrations, along with numerous direct emails, from just that one email. My listing specialist set 11 appointments as a direct result.

Frank: What were you doing before Vyral Marketing to stay in touch with your database?

Chris: Unfortunately we weren't doing anything. It was a long-neglected part of our business that I knew we had to get done. It was a question of how we were going to reach out to people. Were we going to use a canned email with no meaning, or give them something of value? We decided we wanted to do something more personalized. We try to do topics that people will find valuable and relevant. That way, we encourage people to keep watching and, ultimately, reach out to us.

Frank: How do you come up with topics for the videos?

Chris: Your website is full of amazing ideas. I look at what other Vyral clients are doing to get some ideas, as well. Some ideas just come to us, like local market updates and changes in conditions. If enough people are asking us a particular question, we'll answer that in a video, too.

Frank: How many deals did you get from your database in 2013?

Chris: It was something we weren't tracking like we should have. Referral and word of mouth has always been a huge part of our business, even though I never did anything to cultivate it. I would say it was well over 50% of our business. I had said for years, "If I start treating this database like I should, I would be doing 3 times the amount of business." In 2013 we did about 70 deals.

Frank: How do you measure the ROI of your Vyral Marketing investment?

Chris: Since we began working with you a few months ago, I can already count buyers and sellers who have reached out to us because of the videos. We're now tracking it - I could go into my database and see who reached out to us because of the Vyral videos and emails. I don't have the number on hand, but it would be easy to calculate. I can say with confidence that the ROI is far greater than the initial investment.

Frank: What tips would you give someone to be successful at this?

Chris: For one, just do it. Make sure you're recording the two videos a month. When situations come up in the industry, always ask yourself, "Would this make a good video? Should I take 2 minutes out of my day to quickly record it and send it off to my database?" There are just so many great ideas out there.

Frank: Why don't you do this yourself, or hire someone other than Vyral?

Chris: The accountability factor is huge. You guys are great at reaching out to me and reminding me to do my videos. I get so busy, I don't even think about it. You guys keep it top of mind for me. Also, Scott coaches me through the videos sometimes. He'll give me advice on how to better deliver my message so I can generate a stronger response. Additionally, there are so many things that are done for us - you custom write those emails that get such a strong response. I could never do that on my own.

The coaching on my database and the way you guys reach out to our closed clients for testimonials and reviews is also incredibly helpful.

Frank: What results are you getting from your customer testimonials?

Chris: Gathering testimonials was one of the many to-do's we just never got around to. For example, I had some Zillow reviews, but not nearly enough. You guys are just now beginning to do that for me. You reached out to me and asked me for the names of clients after I closed a sale with them. When I finally started giving you guys the names, the reviews started coming in.

We have about 14 reviews now. One of the top agents in our area credits Zillow with a big portion of her success. She has probably 169 reviews - about a year ago, she only had around 70. Year-to-date, she could attribute 40 listings from people calling her from her Zillow reviews. It was a wake up call for me. I need to gather more reviews and gather them fast - and you guys are making it easy.

Frank: Do you have any more tips for what someone needs to do to be successful at Vyral?

Chris: You guys try to make it as easy as possible for us. All we have to say is, "OK, yes please." It's all done for us. As long as I answer the phone, get you guys my list, and shoot the videos, I have nothing to worry about!
