How Vyral Client Dave Friedman Increased his Referral Business from 5% to 40% using Vyral Marketing

Vyral Marketing client and Charleston real estate agent Dave Friedman was unsuccessful in reaching his sphere of influence and generating referrals. His social media presence was limited and he had trouble getting customer reviews. In the eight months since hiring Vyral, the amount of business Dave has generated through his sphere of influence and referrals has gone from 5% to 40%. Dave now touches his database on a regular basis and has already surpassed the amount of homes he sold before hiring Vyral. His return on investment has already been massive and he's looking forward to continued growth by executing the Vyral program.

Scott: What results have you seen from the Vyral Marketing program?

Dave: I didn't have anything in place in 2013. That year the business that came from my sphere of influence and referrals was only about 5% of my business. In January I implemented Vyral Marketing and now 40% of my business is coming from my sphere of influence and referrals.

Scott: So you're saying you went from 5% to 40% in eight months?

Dave: Yes, I went from 5% to 40% in eight months. Last year I closed 45 transactions. Even though I still continue with my other lead sources, adding Vyral Marketing has increased the amount of sales I've had tremendously. For example, last year I closed 45 sales and this year I'm already at 50.

Scott: That's amazing. Do you have any specific stories about how this has helped your business overall?

Dave: I have a ton of customer reviews, which I wouldn't have gotten without Vyral's help. That has had a significant impact. All the social media you package together for me has helped significantly. The accountability you guys hold me to is huge as well. You guys work with so many talented people in real estate, so you're always on the cutting edge. You know what's working and what's not working, and you share that information - which is great. Your Mastermind program is great  - I've learned a lot from other people.

Frank is an amazing copywriter. When he comes up with a new idea for a buyer or seller lead generation email and we put it out there, typically between 70 and 80 people respond to it. There are just so many things that you guys do. When I first saw Vyral I thought you just sent out two emails a week and that it was easy to do. It turns out it's not easy to do because we're busy - but you guys hold us accountable for getting them done. There is a lot more value in the program than I originally thought. It's been a big game changer.

Scott: Why did you hire Vyral Marketing in the first place?

Dave: I went to a marketing workshop in Atlantic City. It was priced well and I had been intrigued by Vyral for a long time. I wanted to meet the people in the company and find out what it was all about. When I met Frank, Scott, and Jason, I quickly learned that you guys are driven to make sure that we're successful. That really meant a lot to me. Sitting down and telling me how you wanted to help me track my numbers that were directly related to Vyral really showed me that you guys were truly interested in growing my business. You want to know if there are results, that those results are measurable, and that I'm satisfied with those results. Having a chance to spend time with you guys was absolutely fantastic.

Scott: Why not market to your database yourself?

Dave: If I did the Vyral Marketing program myself, all I would be doing is shooting two videos a month and sending them out. That in itself is a lot more time consuming than you might think. Even if the only thing Vyral offered was shooting the two videos a month, I would still do it. The accountability is great, I know that the videos are going to get done. It's a no-brainer: I walk in to my office, sit down at my desk, turn on my camera, and let the video rip. You guys put it together, edit it, make it look beautiful,  and send it out for me. If I had to do all that or have an admin do that, it would be a waste of time. We have better things to do. That time could be spent more usefully generating more income.

Even if it was the two videos and that was it - I'd still hire you. However, everything else that you deliver has value. The Mastermind has been a huge boost to my business because I'm able to talk with other top producers in the industry and learn from them.

Scott: What fears did you have before signing up?

Dave: Like anything, as a Realtor there are so many different ways you can invest money in your business. It's hard to know what will provide high ROI. All of us have spent money on things that make big promises but there's no results you can actually see until you start putting a lot of money into it. I guess I feared it wouldn't work like 95% of the other things you can put money into. At this point in my business I don't invest in very much. My hesitation was that I wasn't going to see a huge ROI but it's been massive.

Scott: What would you say to someone who is on the fence about hiring us?

Dave: I would tell them to look at their books, find what's not working, cut it out immediately, and hire Vyral. You just need to do it.

Scott: Do you have any tips you would offer someone to be successful on our program?

Dave: Do exactly what Vyral Marketing tells you to do.

Scott: If you can sum up your experience in one sentence, what would it be?

Dave: Vyral Marketing has been a huge game changer to my business - I wish I would have implemented this years ago. My only regret with Vyral is not doing it sooner.
