NEW EPISODE: How Can I Make My Facebook Post Go Viral?

When you follow the Vyral Marketing plan to get more sales from your database by building an email list, shooting two educational videos every month, and proactively calling those people who watch your video, you'll want to increase the chances that people will actually watch your videos. Ideally, you want your videos to be shared with the friends of the friends of the people who originally watch your videos. You want it to go viral, but you can't force it to - even if the content is great.

Upworthy has put together an incredible slideshow presentation called "How to Make that One Thing Go Viral." You can check it out here. The key is to get your audience's audience to share the content with their audience. It all starts with an inspiring message or a great story. Here at Vyral, your success coach will work with you to create great content that your target audience will think is worth sharing.

Today, we're going to focus on how you can make a post on Facebook when you already have that great content.

Tip #1: Share text
It's best to share one or two lines that raise curiosity. A great example is the first couple sentences in a post by our great client Rick from the House of Mufflers and Brakes. The first reads: "There are only two ways to go about this video: you're going to either think it's a Treat or a horrible Trick." The next sentence is: "One thing's for sure - winter is coming and this coupon below is definitely a treat." These two sentences are mixture of fun and information. The second sentence promises a treat in the form of a coupon, but the reader is unsure of the details.

Tip #2: Headline
Use questions or pain avoidance formulas when crafting a headline. We discussed ways you can go about doing that in a video last week, which you can see here. Using the example from earlier, the headline was: "Trick...or Treat?" A simple, but attention grabbing headline for the Halloween season.

Tip #3: Excerpt
This is the preview text that Facebook gives you. You want to describe the video, but not give it all away. Tease them with what they will learn, like: "Omaha auto repair mechanics at House of Mufflers and Brakes has a fun Halloween treat for you this season."

Tip #4: Share image
This is the image that will be displayed in the post. If we upload the video directly to Facebook, they will provide us a few options. However, if we link the video directly back to your blog, we can pick the "share image" as anything we want. Make sure you keep the image under 20% text, in case you want to boost it and to ensure you're within in the advertising guidelines of Facebook.  An image where you're showing the most emotion is the best.

In summary, the key to going Vyral is a mixture of luck, epic content, and a share-friendly Facebook update. YOU have decide how far you want to take your headlines and your videos, as far as the professionalism or branding goes. If you want, your success coach would love to discuss that with you.
