Welcome New Client Annie Baker

John: How did you hear about us?

Annie: Through Real Geeks, and the Google Hangouts that Frank does with them.

John: Was it just the Hangouts that motivated you to get in touch with us?

Annie: I started watching those back in August, and I'm on your newsletter, so I've been keeping track of all of that.

John: Summarize where you're at with your business right now. What are your goals going forward?

Annie: I have two agents on my team, and our goal is to do three million in volume a month. We're right at about 2.8 or 2.7 for the last two months.

John: Do you know how many people are currently in your database?

Annie: I have an issue with really going after friends and family, so I've tried to build a database outside of that by using open houses and online leads. I probably have around 700 people. I think I want to clean it up a little bit, and add a lot of other vendors and other business owners. I've tried to do referral business with them over the years, but I've never really marketed anything of what I've done. But that's something I want to do. I think I'll end up with 600 or so, maybe 700 people.

John: And those would all be people that you truly know?

Annie: Yeah. I do have to clean it up. There are people that I maybe met at an open house three years ago, but really haven't seen since.

John: Are you doing anything as far as database marketing right now?

Annie: No, not really. I do that American Lifestyle magazine to 150 people a month.

John: How is that working?

Annie: I've never gotten anything from it, but people will say that it's great and they love the magazine.

John: Have you ever thought of trying to do videos and email marketing on your own?

Annie: I have that program BombBomb for video emails. I'm kind of like the odd Realtor in that I'm more of a behind the scenes person. I'm fine with doing the video stuff, but I don't want to be out there with the sales. That's why I have these other two Realtors that are supposed to be doing more of that. The problem is I get them the leads, and there's not always a lot of follow up. I think that people are so into video. It's a better way to connect with people. They see you, and they know you're a real person. My whole thing is to do a lot more video. There are the few video emails I've done, or tried to get my two agents to do. Then I have a GoPro, so I go out and film like neighborhoods and that kind of thing, but I'm not very good at it. That's one thing in the process that you guys could probably help with too. Go through and find a whole bunch of footage, and help me do like the voice-over.

John: What kind of results are you expecting? What does success working with us look like to you?

Annie: In a perfect world, I'd get two referral leads a month. That would be good. I don't think I give myself enough credit, because I don't want to annoy people but when I do talk about Realtor things, people are usually like, "Wow, Annie, I didn't know all of that." Especially with the people in my sphere, I think the videos will give me more credibility. I should be able to get at least two leads a month, and I think this will help.

John: Anybody specific we need to be thanking for your business?

Annie: No, just Jeff Manson and Real Geeks. I think they do an awesome job on those Hangouts.
