John: How did you hear about Vyral Marketing?
Link: Through some of the Real Geeks Hangouts with Jeff Manson. I've been watching Frank and Jeff, and getting a lot of great material from them.
John: What motivated you to get in touch with us?
Link: I initially had a question about getting two videos a month for every team member. Frank got right back to me and said, "That's quite a mountain to climb. If you can do that, we'd make you famous." So we decided to start with two a month for the whole team and then maybe grow into that. It made sense to align myself with you guys because you have more experience with this than I do.
John: Summarize where you're at with your business right now. What are your goals moving forward?
Link: We've got a small team here in Southern New Hampshire. We're members of Keller Williams. It's our goal to expand out of New Hampshire into neighboring states. We want to build marketing, administrative, and lead gen systems that are repeatable in new markets. We want that infrastructure in place so that we can scale and grow at a pretty high rate. Mining our database would be a top source of lead gen for us.
John: How many people are in your database?
Link: There may be a lot of junk in there, but I think all said and done, we could be at 7,000 or 8,000.
John: And how many of those people would you say you and your team truly know?
Link: In the mets side, a conservative guess would be at least 1,000.
John: Are you doing anything to market to any of the databases?
Link: We just started. We do put out a quarterly market report for our entire state. That's four touches a year that go out online in PDF form. I've been afraid to push out more to these because I've been afraid of sending out bad content, and I don't want to lose the trust of the database.
John: And how is that working for you?
Link: I don't know. I don't have a way to track it. It's professionally designed and I think any buyer or homeowner would be interested in it. I don't know if it's getting enough exposure. Some people say they like it, but I never hear much back on it.
John: Why hire us? Why not try to do this yourself?
Link: Some of that comes down to time. You guys seem like fun people to work with, and I think it's a small investment to make for the potential ROI. I think I'm going to fast-track it by learning from you guys on how to do this right. I could stumble through and take shots at it, but I have enough to do. You guys can bring a lot of value, do a lot for me, and increase our chance of success, so why wouldn't I hire you?
John: What results are you expecting? What does success working with us look like to you?
Link: I think the bar has been set at the 10x return. Above and beyond that is just even greater. The money is certainly a big part of it, but for me it's the knowledge, learning, and being able to count on you guys as resources. It sounds like you guys go above and beyond, and could consult with me on any kind of marketing. Since we're a growing team, having access to you guys and that knowledge will become even more valuable than just the program itself.
