Real Estate Snail Mail Update

NOTE: Real Estate Snail Mail is a business unit of Vyral Marketing led by Mark Waring. We've had many clients ask us to write sales copy for them, and since many of our clients are in real estate, we've written a sequence of letters to be "snail mailed" to expired listings. Since we're great at writing, marketing, and systems we decided to test out a sequential 'snail mailing service' because we could not find one that existed who would mail the letters in a sequence on specific days, hand addressed, as we wanted. So, as a side project at Vyral Marketing, Real Estate Snail Mail was born. Each week we write our snail mail clients an update on the progress of their test and we post the weekly update for you here to review. If you're interested in being in the test group, let us know.

Snail Mail Clients,

Here's the update for the letters we sent out last week.

Get this - and this is crazy - of all the letters we've sent so far, and it's a LOT - we've only generated 1 interested phone call from the Inland Empire.

We've sent 828 letters in Chicago to date about 3 weeks in and not a single phone call yet (aside from those asking to be removed from the list). Isn't that interesting?

Now the premise of this campaign is your letters over a period of time will produce phone calls, so we're sticking to our guns and sending all the letters out for the first round of 2 letters a week for 5 weeks. Don't give up!

After that we'll take the stickers off the back of the envelopes and extend the campaign to 1 letter a week for 10 weeks. We're in this for 3 months.

I do question, however, the premise people will call the number in your letter.

Personally, if I got your letter I would Google you, look at your website, check out your reviews, and then call you from your website if I liked what I saw.

That's why it's so important to know if you're getting calls from expired listings outside of the trackable phone number - let us know if that's the case.

For what it's worth, I spend $2,000 a month on a monthly direct mail letter to our ideal prospect list. No one ever calls directly from it, but they do go to the website where a remarketing pixel is installed that follows them around everywhere online with ads, which then they opt-in to our weekly newsletter at some point, and then from that - many months later - they request a consultation on our website.

I'm also sure you're getting plenty of returned mail. Let Mark know right away and put it into the USPS box we sent you.

Is anyone by chance backing up these letters with phone calls? Reply and let me know if that's the case.
