How Realtor Connie Carlson Doubled Sales with Video



"I was making videos on my own before I hired you guys, but I found I was not being consistent with it and I wasn’t getting it out the right way. You guys took it off my plate and I have been consistent. I’m always writing down ideas of what I want to do. I’ll make note of questions clients ask me and I’m constantly trying to think of new things. We did 70 transactions in 2014. In 2015, we did 149 transactions. We doubled our business and a lot of it has to do with the fact that we are providing consistent follow-up to our database."

John: What results have you been seeing on the Vyral Marketing program?

Connie: I was making videos on my own before I hired you guys, but I found I was not being consistent with it, and I wasn't getting it out the right way. You guys kind of took all that off of my plate, and I have been consistent. Since I joined you, I haven't missed a mailing yet. By doing that consistently to my database and writing a blog about it that we promote on Facebook, we have seen a huge increase in our business. People say they see us everywhere, they love our videos. It really does solidify me as an expert in the area.

John: Great. That is an amazing track record. I would say the number one thing our clients battle with is doing the program consistently. How are you able to do that?

Connie: I'm always writing down ideas of what I want to do. I'll make note of questions my clients ask me and I'm constantly trying to think of things. The idea part is never an issue. Usually, I'll make two or three videos at a time, then I'm done. You guys do everything else. It's not that time-intensive. I think most people give up too quickly. Now, when you type my name into Google, I have a ton of information that comes up. That's huge for us.

John: You've been a client for a few years now. I know it's tough to quantify, but can you talk about the ROI you get with Vyral.

Connie: Less than 2 years ago, it was myself and my assistant. We did 70 transactions in 2014. In 2015, we did 149 transactions and I have 4 buyer's agents and 2 full-time admins. We doubled our business and a lot of it has to do with the fact that we are providing consistent follow-up to our database. People are opening them. The last one we sent out was a West Cobb County Market Update, and it already has 788 views. I had one that went out 5 months ago, and it had over 2,000 views. People are watching.

John: You're also doing the advertising program with us. How is that going so far?

Connie: So far, so good. That's a little bit harder to quantify. The whole frame of mind is to create brand awareness and I'm trying very hard to show up whenever people go to Facebook or YouTube. To me, that's huge. The other thing that my coach at Vyral does with that is take the time to teach me things and help me be better in my marketing even if it has nothing to do with a YouTube video. I love that about her.

John: I want to go back to when you were doing this yourself. What is the difference since you included Vyral in the process?

Connie: Number one, consistency. I'm consistent with sending it out now. Number two is the production, it's produced a lot better. And the third one is the SEO. You know how to put those keywords in so I pop up more online.

John: Was there any fear you had before signing up?

Connie: I had the fear of being consistent with it. Honestly, from the moment I signed up with you guys, I was blown away. You provided more than I expected. For you guys, every time I talked to you, you gave me more stuff. I never had any fear about it.

John: A lot of people that are going to be listening this interview are going to be on the fence about hiring Vyral Marketing. What would you say to those people?

Connie: I would say if you're looking to become known as an expert in your area in real estate , and you want to set yourself apart from everyone else, this is what you should do. You've got to have your head in the sand if you don't know video is where it's at right now. Vyral is going to help you do it.
