Speaking At Seminars To Grow Your Database (Part One)

Speaking or holding a seminar is one of the BEST ways to bring people into your database – it’s a highly leveraged activity. The challenge is: how exactly do you get “butts in seats”?

(Delivering your presentation is the easy part.)

If you’ve ever thought about holding a small seminar, a workshop or a private event like a mastermind – my promoters at Top Production have the system down to sell tickets.
They worked for Tom Hopkins back in the day and here’s how it works:
1. Pick a date for your seminar somewhere in the USA.
2. Put a sales trainer in the field 8 weeks in advance.
3. Buy a list of target businesses.
4. Call them and offer your speaker to present for free in their office (1hr).
5. Then they sell tickets to the event at the end of the presentation.
I’ve been speaking with Top Production for the past year. And it’s great – they put 200-300 people in a room who’ve paid $200-$300 a ticket and I get to deliver awesome marketing value for one day.

They keep the revenue and I get the undivided attention of an audience to share my message.

This first interview (podcast above) is with Doug, the owner in Phoenix that calls on his target businesses to secure an appointment for the in-the-field sales trainer.

The next interview I’ll send to you will be with the actual presenter that arrives in the office, delivers the free 1-hour presentation and sells tickets to the upcoming event at the end.
