How To Get Testimonials, Referrals and Feedback Automatically
Friends,
Here's a marketing system today that's effective, simple, cheap and incredibly easy to implement.
There are 3 things you need after each successful transaction with a client:
1.) A testimonial
2.) Raw feedback
3.) Referrals
The problem? This is the LAST thing on your mind when you're running your business, making sales and servicing your clients.
I recommend you hire help to call all your customers once the sale is complete so you get more referrals, testimonials and honest feedback automatically.
Their script would go something like this:
"Hi, this is Sarah calling on behalf of [your name] who you recently did business with. I'm calling you on a recorded line just to get your feedback on your experience. On a scale of 1-10 how likely would you be to refer [your name] and what's the primary reason for your answer? Excellent! And do you happen to know anyone's name that I should pass along to [your name] that might benefit from [his or her] help? Great! And since, as I mentioned, this call is recorded may we use your kind words in our marketing materials to help more great clients like you? Great! Thank you!"
This simple system accomplishes a lot.
First, you're getting firsthand feedback from every single client. This feedback is much more likely to be true than if you were to ask your customer or client personally.
Second, if the feedback is positive, it's a natural testimonial being recorded! You can transcribe it, or put several recordings on an audio CD and ship them to prospects! You can even turn all the transcribed testimonials into a powerful book that you ship as well. This is powerful!
Third, if they answer an 8-10 on a scale of 1-10 of how likely they are to refer you, well it's certainly appropriate to ask for a referral!
Not to mention you have their recorded permission to use their words in your marketing - now that's an asset someone will pay a BIG premium for when buying your company.
*How do you call on a recorded line? Call using Skype (you can call cell phones and landlines) with the 'Skype Plus' add-in installed. It automatically records all calls, incoming or outgoing - and it's free. It's what I use for my podcasts when I'm in the office.
Imagine how many more referrals, testimonials and honest feedback you'd have in 2013 if you take a moment this week to set up this simple system.
To get it done, you only need someone part-time that works from home with great phone skills.
And of course, your hire can also call the people in your database to follow up on the great educational videos you're sending out to ask for referrals and repeat sales.
