How Vyral Client Doug Leugers Generates Leads with Educational Videos on Facebook
Vyral: Doug, what, if any, were your fears before starting with Vyral?
Doug: Price. Before anything else, I thought about the investment. It was like, Lord, how am I going to calculate return on investment on this? And I'll still tell you, I haven't done the best job with that. But I just know from the people that have called me and the lack of relationship I had with that person before Vyral that I'm definitely getting my return on investment.
It's probably the best marketing that I've done so far. Yeah, it is. Before I met you guys, I was already sold on video. Several years before meeting you guys, I was trying to figure out a way to do video marketing.
I love it. I love just being in front of people with the videos and stuff. And I think the whole brand recognition thing is key. And Facebook has been huge with the videos. People don't even have to watch the video, but they see you posting the video, and they already have a perception of it. They only have to see one. They don't have to watch them all.
Vyral: Exactly. They just have to see one.
And while we're talking about this, I'd love to ask you some additional questions about your experience with Vyral, if that's okay Doug.
Doug: Yeah, absolutely.
Vyral: Before you started with Vyral, what kind of marketing efforts were you doing? What did you use in your business?
Doug: As far as touching my current client base, there wasn't any. That was my problem. And that was why I wanted a company like Vyral as bad as I did.
I think I saw Lars say something about you one time on Facebook or something. And when I saw that discussion, that's when I decided to check on you guys. But up to that point, that was my major fail - staying in touch with my client base.
I had, I'm going to send out a calendar this month. Or three months from now, I'm going to do this. And it was never - I put rent calendars, Facebook calendars, football calendars, and that was pretty much the extent. And then I had a client party here and there.
But nothing that was consistent, which is what you have to have in your business.
Vyral: Have you been able to track what the videos have done for your business? In your mind, how are you able to justify the expense to Vyral?
Doug: Because I know when I'm getting calls from people that probably wouldn't normally have thought to use me. They're calling me because they saw me video.
For instance, on Facebook, I have several thousand "friends." People that I might know their name, but I really don't know who they are, or maybe even people that are friends of friends that went to the same high school I did that are friends with me on Facebook that have seen the videos and associate me as the expert. Any other way, they wouldn't have called me before.
So that's what the video is doing for me. It's projecting me as the expert. So that's where you build the ultimate rapport is as the expert.
Vyral: Well, thanks. I appreciate you answering those questions for me Doug. That helps a lot.
Doug: No problem man. I'm glad. I've still got a lot of work to do on camera. But I still want to be a lot better than I am. But like anything else, it takes practice.
