An update for you this week…

1.    Picking Your Best Headline and Email Subject Line Upfront

The headline of your video and your email subject line are the most important copy we write. Make sure to talk to your Success Coach at least once a month so we can determine your email subject line and headline BEFORE you record your videos. Say it into the camera at the start – this way our editing team knows what it should be and will then edit your instructions out. This way there’s more collaboration upfront on the two most important items we write.

2.    Real Estate Snail Mail Update    

We sold 30 counties for physically mailing every expired listing in your MLS or county. This is a separate business unit at Vyral. We adjusted the system to 10 letters, 2 a week, on premium linen letterhead, hand addressed, with a one-page insert of testimonials and success stories. I also re-wrote the entire campaign to split test – over 2,800 words. Minimal results at this point, but only 5 active clients of the 30 in set up.  If you’re still interested in being in the test group, your monthly labor fee is deferred for 3 months. 3.    My Personal Webcam and Microphone Set Up

I’ve been asked what I use for my video to make things look and sound so good on my hangouts. I’m on a Logitech c920 webcam with a simple USB headset – or – you can use the Yedi microphone. I also have a light on me with a 5,000k color temperature bulb that emits natural daylight color. If you’re interested in upgrading your audio or video quality beyond the webcam package we sent you, we have to make sure your computer can handle it. We also need a few minutes a month to make sure the audio levels are correct with your external microphone. Talk to your Success Coach or bring me into a call to visit about that if you’re interested.

4.    Summer 2015 Magical Seller Lead Generation Email Coming Soon!

I’m working this week on the next direct offer to send to your database to pull in some immediate leads. We like to send a direct, plain text offer to your database about every three months. If you’re in real estate, I have you covered – I’m writing it. If you’re in another industry, talk to your Success Coach about possible direct offer ideas to identify the “now” business in your database without hurting the “later” business. I spend 3 days a week now writing for you! Mondays are weekly meetings with the team, and Thursdays are client calls and hangouts, generally.

6.    I’m at the Marketo Conference in San Francisco This Week

I’m writing you from San Francisco this week at the Marketo conference – it’s enterprise level marketing software on the level with Salesforce, NetSuite, and other expensive business software. I’m picking up some great tips and figuring out where the marketing world is heading so I can keep you updated on the trends. I’m seeing big trends in very personalized email communication, lead scoring, and texting.

7.    Recruiting Smart College Student to Work For You

I also just came back from Omaha where I spoke at the University to the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization. About 100 smart students were in the room for a 1 hour talk I gave on starting your own business in college. I know many of you are looking for great people, and you can’t get them any cheaper, hard working, and eager than college students who are driven to do something entrepreneurial. Check out this organization and see if they have a chapter at your local college. Go speak at their next event and offer an internship at the end. You’ll be really glad you did when these incredible students start working for you.
