Welcome New Client Robin Phillips



John: How did you hear about us? 

Robin and David: From Dave Friedman.

John: What motivated you to give us a call, or to take our call? 

David: I've only been in the business for a year. Robin's been in it for two years. We got to the point where we had tried lots of different things. We had spent a lot of money, but we weren't achieving what we wanted to achieve. We started interviewing all the top agents at Keller Williams, and Vyral seemed to be an integral part of Dave's success. That's how we decided to sign up.

Robin: Every single on of the top agents in our office - and these are agents that are doing at least $15 million a year in business - said that video marketing is one of the key things that they were already doing, or that was in their business plan this year. There wasn't a single system that they were using that made as much of an impact as we think Vyral will. Meaning that it's not just a video. We're not just loading something out there. It's a full-service marketing company built around video. We feel like it's video marketing on steroids. So that's another reason we were attracted to you guys.

John: Summarize where you're at with your business. What are your goals moving forward?

David: We've both been in real estate. We lived in the Bahamas. I've been a developer, builder, and resort owner. We sold our business and moved here two years ago. We have many years in the real estate business as far as experience is concerned, but little when it comes to Charleston. This is a different way of doing business for us, and we're excited and ready to embrace it.

Robin: Our goals for this year are pretty lofty. We're looking at tripling our business this year. We're looking at adding staff as well this year, starting with an assistant and then a showing assistant before the end of the year. We're looking to automate most of our processes by the end of the year. We're looking to close around $17 million this year. Our goals are being ramped up by implementing the right technology that is going to allow us to leverage ourselves. We know how to sell real estate. We just need the right processes in place. That's where you guys come in.

John: Do you know how many people are currently in your database? 

Robin: I will tell you that my database is a disaster. I signed up for a class to help me fill it all out and fix it, and I'm so busy that I don't have time to take the class. So, I have no idea. Most of the people in my database, I haven't met. I really need help with that. Tremendously need help with that, because that's going to be the key to my success.

John: Are you doing anything to market to the database right now? 

Robin: No, not really. Dave and I are really heavy on phone calls. You're not going to have to tell us how to do phone calls. We time block, we script, we have script partners – we do a lot of that. In one of the videos, you guys talk about the low-hanging fruit. We're pretty good at plucking the low-hanging fruit, but we're not doing anything consistent. We hired Moneytree to help us with that, particularly on the buyer's side, but we're going to switch to conversion to help with that. So, we're going to be having drip campaigns to assist with that. You guys are going to be a big portion.

John: Why hire us? Why not try to do this yourself? 

Robin: Well, first of all, we can't do it ourselves. I have no expertise in video marketing. I don't know how to do any of that, and for the price that you guys are charging, it's kind of a no-brainer. $550 a month is truly a no-brainer for the marketing expertise as well as getting things out there. I know for a fact from what Dave [Friedman] tells me that he has closed nine deals this year directly from people emailing him, saying that they're getting his videos and they want him to list their property. If I can close nine deals by remote control, that would have a significant impact on my business.

John: What results are you expecting? What does success working with us look like to you? 

Robin: Success working with you guys looks like I have the best version of my database, meaning you guys are really helping me pull in every single person I didn't even think of into my database. That I am consistently marketing to these people with valuable information, you're allowing me to track that in some way, and you're holding me accountable. If I can get all of that from you, I can call the people and I can convert them. Success to me is having that consistent contact, being able to have you guys partner with me in order to continually pull these people in, and just beat me over the head with accountability.
