How Realtor Dale Ross Turned His Database Into a "Goldmine" With Video

"One of the first videos that Vyral sent out had an extraordinary open rate. From that, I received over 30 people responding to that video and asking particular questions about real estate. From that source of 30 people, I ended up generating three listings out of it and one buyer. There are people that have been in my database for a long time that received mass emails that I never got any response to. Then the first time the Vyral video goes out, it's like bam! I'm sitting back, my email is blowing up, and I'm thinking, 'Wow, this is a gold mine!'"

John: So Dale, what kind of results have you seen on the Vyral Marketing program so far?

Dale: Well, I do a lot of marketing, and I track all of my results. The results that I see from Vyral Marketing are that a lot more people are interactive with the information that I'm sending out there, because it's presented in a very professional manner, and there's no pretense to it. It's delivering information that people really want to hear about.

John: How are you measuring your results with regards to return on investment?

Dale: I actually have a media source tracker. The other way I track leads is whenever I send out a video, I immediately start getting contact. Emails, phone calls – it's pretty amazing. I've never experienced anything quite like it.

John: Can you tell a specific story about getting a listing off an email, or anything like that?

Dale: Absolutely, I have a few of those. One of the first videos that Vyral sent out had an extraordinary open rate. I'm sitting back, my email is blowing up, and I'm thinking, "Wow, this is a gold mine!"

John: So, why did  you hire us to start with?

Dale: A couple years ago, I learned about your service at the Keller Williams Family Reunion, and then I investigated it. I thought I could do the video myself as well as anybody, and that was a big mistake. I investigated you more, and I got your drip campaign. Then I actually scheduled into my budget. I worked all year 2014 just so that I could fit it into my budget for 2015. I knew that the video aspect of the Internet is changing the way people get information. I saw several agents doing the Vyral video, and I thought it was great. I don't have to worry about doing anything right or wrong because it's all done for me. The cost of doing it is one sale per year. It's really a bargain to me, and looking back, I wish I would have done it when I first found out about it.

John: Did you ever get started on making videos on your own?

Dale: I got started on it. I hired a video editor. The videos were okay, but they weren't being sent out in the format and being placed on a blog the way Vyral does. I've integrated the Vyral blog into my website now, and I just think it's the greatest thing not having to worry about it. It's done professionally. I like to automate everything in my business, and that's just one thing I don't have to worry about doing right, because it's done right by Vyral.

John: Did you have any fears before signing up with us?

Dale: No, not really. I knew it was a proven system. I'd been doing videos myself on a very amateur level for awhile, so I didn't have any fear about getting in front of the camera. The great thing about you all is that when I was doing the videos myself, start to finish, it took two hours to do a three minute video. If I didn't do it perfectly, I had to start all over. With the editing, you all cut my time down to five to ten minutes to do a video, instead of two hours.

John: What would you say you like most about working with us?

Dale: The creativity you bring to the table. The reliability, and the professional presentation. There are a lot of different avenues to go to out there, and your reputation is everything. Presentation is everything, and the perception by the consumer is everything. I'm at the point now where I'm pointing people to my blog when they have a question so that they can get the information from my videos. They're very thankful for that. It's very well done. I don't have to worry about it. It's out there, and it works.

John: So it's become more of an asset to you, rather than just a marketing piece?

Dale: Absolutely. I don't think I'll ever go without it again.

John: What would you say to somebody who's on the fence about working with us?

Dale: I would say that it's costing you money to not do it.

John: What tips would you offer someone to be successful working with us?

Dale: You make it so easy that I think the only thing holding anyone back would be the fear of getting in front of the camera. Once you get in front of the camera, you get comfortable. If you make any mistakes, Vyral is right there to fix them and make it a seamless video. Thinking back on it, I should say, "Why fear anything about it?"

John: That's all I've got, unless you have anything else you want to add.

Dale: I would like to say that everyone that I have worked with so far at Vyral has been extremely knowledgeable, creative, and reliable. If I have a question, I'll shoot an email off to Chris, and he's right back to me. It's a pleasure working with someone like you. You are always there for me. Some companies have you wait days for a return call or email, and I never have to wait.
