Welcome New Client Chris Reese
Allison: How did you hear about Vyral Marketing? What motivated you to call us?
Chris: I was looking around YouTube for some videos on open houses and listings, and the video with Jesse Garcia popped up. You guys were partnering with Jesse. I was interested in Vyral Marketing, so I asked for a consultation.
Allison: Summarize where you're at with your business right now. What are your business goals for 2015?
Chris: I'm getting the momentum going with real estate. I've been in the business since 2005, but I've been on the loan side. I still do loans, but I had an overwhelming number of clients asking me to take care of their real estate for them. I learned that I really liked real estate. I've closed about 13 transactions since 2013. 2013 was a slower year. This year, I've closed eight so far. I still do a lot of loans, but I'm trying to make the switch to doing mostly real estate. For 2015, I would like to have 20 closed deals by the end of the year.
Allison: How many people are in your database right now?
Chris: It's tough to say. I have about 4,600 contacts between my Gmail, Outlook, and social media accounts. Out of those 4,600, I would say about half of them are outdated or bad. Out of the half that's left, a great deal of those are probably industry people and not necessarily prospects. There are a few hundred clients in there at bare minimum, and additional prospects on top of that.
Allison: Are you doing anything right now to market to your database? If so, what's working well and what's not working well.
Chris: I don't have anything working extremely well. They get an email every so often, like a birthday card email. They probably get six timely emails a year. I had a Bombbomb account. I was trying to send video emails, but I'm such a perfectionist that it would turn into an editing nightmare. Before you know it, it's taking me an hour to shoot a quick video. So I don't do that anymore. I'm not really doing any database marketing.
Allison: What results are you expecting? What does success working with us look like to you?
Chris: Hopefully within 12 months, I'd like to see the 10x return. When I do things, I want to be the best. So I would like to double that average ten-fold return. It may be far out of reach, but my way of looking at it is to reach for the stars and fall in the clouds. Don't just reach for what's attainable, because if you do, that's all you're going to get. The short term goal is simple: I want the phone to ring. I want leads in my database that I can follow up with. It's still a cold call, but it's not a freezing cold call.
Allison: Is there anyone in particular we should thank for your business?
Chris: I found you guys because of Jesse Garcia.
