New Client Welcome Sandy Edry

Sandy Edry, leader of The Edry Group at Keller Williams NYC, is a lifelong New Yorker who has taken the typical Manhattanite's fascination with real estate and turned it into one of the top sales and rental teams in the city. In just the last few years, Sandy has sold more than $75 million dollars in Manhattan real estate, including more than 120 apartments in the Riverside Drive Condominiums. Sandy's knowledge of the market and devotion to his clients led to his being named a Top Sales Agent at his company from 2009 through 2011, as well a five-time Platinum Award winner in 2007-2011. This year he was named one of the top 5 teams at KWNYC and won the Team Player Award, which is the company's top prize. Before joining Keller Williams NYC, Sandy spent more than 15 years as a professional journalist, including seven years on staff as a writer/editor at Newsweek Magazine. Edry is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and has been published in various newspapers and magazines including The New York Times, New York, Inc., The Los Angeles Times and many others. Elizabeth: So, how did you hear about us and what motivated you to reach out to us?

Sandy: I saw you guys on Facebook in my newsfeed, and several people I respect in the industry have been using you. We also believe that video is an integral part of our marketing.

Elizabeth: Could you summarize where you are in your business and what your goals are in the future?

Sandy: Our team is a boutique service based out of NYC. We have eight people and we focus on condos in Manhattan. A heavy portion of our business is in luxury real estate. We're branching out into Queens and Brooklyn. We were the #3 team in Manhattan, and we hope to continue that trend in the future.

Elizabeth: How many people are in your database, and how many do you truly know?

Sandy: I have about 9,000 right now, but I probably know about 3,000 of them. We're trying to slim down the database right now.

Elizabeth: What are you doing to market to your database?

Sandy: We've definitely not done enough with it. Once per month we send out a touch, but we recently hired a concierge service, and that is something brand new to the industry that we're excited about.

Elizabeth: Great. So why did you hire us and not try to do this yourself?

Sandy: Because I've tried and it's too much work. We need to delegate this to the experts, although I really enjoy doing this kind of stuff. My team has been wanting me to outsource this part of our business for a while.

Elizabeth: What does success with Vyral look like to you?

Sandy: Making more money. We also want to continue to establish better relationships with our clients.

Elizabeth: Perfect, what type of personality are you and how do you like to be communicated with?

Sandy: Probably by email or text. I can usually respond pretty quickly.

Elizabeth: Is there someone we should be thanking for your business?

Sandy: Mark Zuckerberg and Jerimiah Taylor. I've seen Jerimiah's videos with you and that was definitely a push to do it.
