Good morning!
Here's a great tip I wanted to share with you this morning on a few ways to quickly generate video topic ideas your customers actually want and are enticed to watch.
When it comes to crafting great messages for your customers and prospects, your "lead" is 80 percent of the game.
Good morning!
Here's a great tip I wanted to share with you this morning on a few ways to quickly generate video topic ideas your customers actually want and are enticed to watch.
When it comes to crafting great messages for your customers and prospects, your "lead" is 80 percent of the game.
A typical direct-response (when you want someone to take action now) promotion has three parts: the lead, the body and the close.
The lead is how you open your videos with a compelling message and provoke the appropriate emotion in your viewer.
In short, it’s your chance to hook your viewer and communicate the ‘big idea’ of your message.
Now there are plenty of ways to open your videos (or any message for that matter) effectively, but these six have dominated and stood the test of time:
The PROVEN Six
1. Offer/Promise – “I have this special opportunity for you and here's why…”
2. Invitation – “I’d like to personally invite you to check out or attend this special (blank)…”
3. Problem/Solution – “If you’re suffering from this problem, I’m going to show you how to fix it.”
4. Secret – “I’m going to let you in on a little-known, insider secret of my industry today…”
5. Story – “Bob’s life was a mess, and then he had this turning point and now he is a success! Here's how...”
6. Prediction – “Where is the market headed? Stay tuned for my prediction of what's going to happen…”
Our go-to formula at Vyral Marketing is question and answer (FAQ), which could be placed as a ‘sub-category’ under problem/solution.
Remember, you want to state the point of your video within the first 10 seconds (Why should I continue to watch your video?) and The Proven Six are great frameworks to do it within.
So when you need a great reason to communicate with your customer database, first think about the most common questions you receive from customers, then answer them.
But if you still can’t find your great idea … your answer lies within The Proven Six.
Here are 6 great questions to answer within this framework:
1. What does your customer want and what promise will remove all risk from getting it?
2. Is there anything exclusive you can invite your customer to attend or check out?
3. What problem do you know how to solve that’s common for your customer?
4. What’s a secret that’s not often revealed in your industry?
5. What story can you tell me about a customer who went from mess to success and how?
6. What’s going to happen in the future that impacts your customer’s well-being?
