| Vyral Client Nick McLean |
Nick: I met Frank in Las Vegas. He did the RATE Conference in Las Vegas in 2012.
John: What motivated you to hire us?
Nick: Since 2012, I've witnessed the evolution of Vyral and how you guys have consistently improved the overall value of the product, without raising the price substantially. You guys are ten times, maybe one hundred times, the value since I originally came in contact with Vyral. That shows me your vision and the path you're on is the path I'm on, and now is the time to come together. I'm more intrigued by the results I can get over a lifetime than what you guys are going to give me right away.
John: Summarize where you're at with your business - where do you hope to be in the next 5 years?
Nick: Right now, we'll do 250 deals this year and next year we're shooting for about 308-310. In 5 years, we want to increase our market share by increasing our referrals and nurturing our database through Vyral. We've been in growth mode for 3 years, so a couple more years should bring us 300 to 400 deals a year - which is a lot for our market.
John: You mentioned you have about 14,000 people in your database. How many of them do you truly know?
Nick: I would say about 1,200-1,400. That represents all the people we've sold property to or our immediate sphere.
John: What are you doing to market to that database now?
Nick: Nothing. I mean, we do it, but on an ad hoc basis. We may have a special event or do something for the holiday. We'll send out an email, a newsletter or a Facebook post, but it's not a system. It's freewheeling and without a predictable result.
John: Why not do what we do by yourself?
Nick: I've tried to do it myself. It would take me a really long time to do a couple of the things you guys do and it wouldn't be cost effective to hire someone and train them how to do it. It would take me away from my real goal. My goal isn't to do what you guys do, it's to grow our business and provide for our team. That's why we hired you, we didn't want to lose track of our goals.
John: What does success look like to you on the Vyral program?
Nick: Success would probably be measured in the number of referrals we receive. We're going to look at our net promoter score, the overall experience that someone in our database has, the way they feel about the process from start to finish. Being able to use Vyral to touch new markets is something we hope to achieve as well.
John: Anyone we should thank for your business?
Nick: I would say the tipping point was Adam Sobieski.
