Welcome New Client Vikram Deol
Allison: How did you hear about Vyral Marketing, and what motivated you to call us?
Vikram: I don't remember exactly where, but somehow you guys got my info and followed up with me. Kyle Whissel gave a plug. He posted an interview that he did with Frank. I know that we haven't been doing it even though we have a marketing person, and I talked to Kyle and he said I should absolutely do this.
Allison: Summarize where you're at with your business. What are your business goals for 2015?
Vikram: We're a team of seven. I'm trying to remove myself production as much as I can. We do almost zero database follow up. We closed a total of 145 transactions. We've never had a plan on how to follow up with those, so the goal for 2015 is to really build a solid referral-based business. Goal for the year is 120 units, $101 million, basically everything that we've done up until this point, we want to reproduce that all in one year. We'd like to be a team of ten or twelve people by the end of the year. Seven producers, three to four in the back end, and then me running everything but not producing very much by the end of the year.
Allison: Are you doing anything right now to market to your database?
Vikram: Yes. We put them in contact lists and let them convert themselves through us.
Allison: What's working and what's not working with that?
Vikram: I mean, it's working extraordinarily well for the amount of effort that we put into it. Last year we did our first client party. That was cool, but we didn't follow up. We just didn't have a lot of the things set up to follow up with them. It's crazy, because getting my database up and running is going to be my number one challenge. We probably have 15,000 to 20,000 emails between everyone on the team that could be marketed to.
Allison: What results are you expecting? What does success working with us look like to you?
Vikram: I was told there was a 10x return, but in our market, a 10x return is pretty easy. Based on the number of emails that we give you, I'd like to see about a 10% return in referrals from our database.
