Welcome New Client Scott Neal

John: How did you hear about us?

Scott: I met Frank up in Aspen with Jay Kinder and Mike Reese at one of their programs. I've been on his email list and have followed what you have done for some other agents around the country.

John: How long was the time period from when you met Frank to when you signed up as a client?

Scott: It was a couple of years. I met him back in 2013 maybe and just signed up 2 months ago.

John: What was it that motivated you to get in touch?

Scott: I tried to do it on my own, but it was kind of ridiculous. I wasn't very consistent and had a lot of problems, I figured it was time to hand it over to someone I knew was going to take care of it.

John: Summarize where you are at with your business. What are your goals moving forward?

Scott: I got started in real estate in 2007, so by the time I sold my first house, the market had already gone through a lot. 40% of buyers dropped out of the market overnight, but I didn't know any better. I've been in business right now for about 8 years, and right now we have about 5 people on our team. We are in the Dallas market and want to have a presence of a boutique brokerage who provides excellent service, and are looking to build our team up a little more.

John: How many people are in your database?

Scott: About 5,000.

John: How many of those people would you say you truly know?

Scott: That's a good question. I'd probably say 500 of them have met me or know me.

John: You mentioned trying this on your own. How often did you send things out?

Scott: My entire real estate career has been plagued with inconsistency, so I was really bad about getting stuff out. Real estate is a tough business and you've got to juggle a lot of different things. If you're going to create a sustainable business, touching your database consistently is essential.

John: What results are you expecting? What does success working with us look like to you?

Scott: There are really two things I want to accomplish. Number one is being an education source for the people we have not met, and also staying in touch with the people who do know us and have done business with us, to foster referrals.

John: Is there anybody we should be thanking for your business?

Scott: The last person who told me I should really look into you guys was Lars Hedenborg.
