New Client Welcome Mike Beacom

Mike Beacom is a Real Estate Professional who believes that you should do it right the first time. He entered the real estate industry on a whim and soon found a full-time career in real estate where he quickly began to experience the satisfaction of being of service to others. Paul: How did you hear about us?

Mike: Well, I've known Frank since he was a student of mine at Prep. When he got into marketing, he lived in my neighborhood a few blocks away. Having that familiarity and closeness to him , I was always interested in following his story. When he decided to get into marketing, I continued to follow him and I've maintained my interest in his business all along.

Paul: What motivated you to give us a call now?

Mike: I was an athletic trainer at Creighton Prep for many years, and got involved in real estate while I was still at Prep but kind of on a whim. I ended up leaving to concentrate on real estate and help tend to my growing family. Now that my kids are older and able to stay home by themselves, I can be gone more often. I can be busier with real estate then I have been. I've always made a good living in real estate from great clients and referrals, but it only scratches the surface of what I'd like to be able to do. This will help me stay top of mind with the people I want.

Paul: Where are you at with your business? What are your business goals and how many people are in your database?

Mike: Right now, I don't really have a database. This is something new to me. I think that when it's all said and done and we start with an initial database, it will start somewhere in the 300-800 range. In terms of business goals, I have probably done an average of 20 transactions a year, which is great. But I'd really like to get that number to at least 50 per year, which is still small potatoes compared to other Vyral clients. I don't want to grow my business as a team, I like to handle my own business and make it real personal. My goal for this calendar year is to get to about 35 and the year after hopefully hit closer to 50.

Paul: What does success look like to you? Where do you see yourself and your business further down the line?

Mike: I guess I don't really define success as anything other than having satisfied clients. If I do 15 transactions or 50, if I have satisfied clients who refer me or use me again, that's success. I don’t really need to define it by different numbers. I guess the opportunities that I can have and take advantage of through my work in real estate, that affords me different opportunities on a personal level. Right now, I'm happy where everything is at but business wise, if I can reach my goal and be a consistent producer of 50 quality transactions per year, that is success. The only other goal I have would be to be busy enough to hire an assistant, and maybe a buyer's agent. Those opportunities would afford me more freedom and time to either grow my business or spend more time with my family.
